Neel Banerjee


With over two decades in the marketing and consulting services industry, Neel is a seasoned customer strategy and digital marketing specialist. His expertise is in driving strategic thinking, planning and governance with C-suites to help organisations build compelling and sustainable engagements with their customers.

Neel has a wide breadth of knowledge across industry domains, blended with an appreciation of human centred design of customer experiences across Asia. Driven by a ruthlessly efficient approach to information synthesis, ideation and implementation, Neel is a pragmatic marketer who maintains a singular focus on value creation and business impact.

He is a certified Design Thinking facilitator [National Design Council Singapore] and has completed level one training as an Executive Coach. Neel is passionate about working with entrepreneurs and supporting social enterprises, and is associated with Impact Hub Singapore as a marketing mentor/ coach.

Having lived and worked in Hong Kong/ China for nearly a decade, Neel is now based in Singapore.

Neel is Founder of TheEngage. He is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s long term strategy, driving client and peer partnerships and creating long term shareholder value.

Reynaldo Lugtu


Reynaldo “Rey” Lugtu is a veteran in the information and communications technology sector. He has engaged with several companies on digital transformation, helping them in strategy and execution. He is a sought-after public speaker, an accomplished educator, and a journalist and writer.  Apart from enabling digital transformation among companies, his expertise includes digital marketing, organization development for digital transformation, strategic planning and management.

He was previously the Head, Solutions Group of Microsoft Philippines. He has held senior posts previously such as Vice President, IT-Enabled Services at Globe Telecom, Country Head of Enterprise at Samsung Philippines, and President and Country Manager of Emerson Network Power.

Rey is Chairman of the SME Market Development of the Foundation of Filipino Entrepreneurs Inc (FFEI), Chairman of ICT Committee of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), Vice Chairman of ICT Committee of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), and member of the Makati Business Club and Philippine Chamber of Commerce. He also Professorial Lecturer in the MBA program of De La Salle University where he currently teaches Strategic Management. He is Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management.

Rey contributes regularly as a business columnist and writer for Manila Times, Manila Bulletin, Business World, The Standard, and the regional magazine CIO Outlook.

He earned his MBA from DLSU where he is also finishing his doctorate. He finished courses in business from INSEAD-Wharton University of Pennsylvania, China Europe International Business School, and Helsinki School of Economics.

Rey manages the TheEngage Philippines. He leads the outreach of the company’s digital transformation consulting mandate and its long term strategic growth.

Vincent Berndsen


Vincent has over a decade of experience in Customer Experience, Operations Management and CRM/Digital deployments from  consulting and corporate environments.

He began his career at Vodafone, where he held diverse functions including Head of Consumer Operations. He continued his career at Philips where he was Service, Quality & CRM manager for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg and project manager for Asia-Pacific.

With a deep understanding of CRM and Digital Operations, his speed to execution, understanding of business complexities and ability to work around them or work them to his advantage are extremely valuable to any organization. Vincent has previously worked at Accenture where he facilitated multi-channel customer journey mapping workshops and management trainings.

Vincent holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management Studies from the University of Amsterdam. Vincent is Prince II & Lean Six Sigma certified and based in Singapore & Manila.

Vincent is Co-Founder of TheEngage. He oversees the success of TheEngage’s business operations, ensuring quality and reliability of ongoing client delivery.

Angkea Som


With 16+ years of experience in the agency and consultancy industry, Angkea has developed an expertise in understanding complex digital challenges and successfully building teams to address them head-on. His digital career goes back to 2000 in Seattle as part of aQuantive (AveA, Razorfish, Atlas) which was acquired by Microsoft for $6B in 2007. During that time, Angkea wore many different hats in the startup environment such as campaign management, CRM, data & analytics and sales engineer. As a sales engineer, he contributed a great deal to the development of a campaign management and tracking software known as Atlas (a direct competitor to Google’s Doubleclick at the time).

Angkea relocated to Singapore in the summer of 2012 to gain ‘international experience’ while working with a global agency. His proven successes in the last three assignments have given him the confidence to branch out with Partners in helping to build TheEngage. Angkea’s responsibilities include, but not limited to; business development, strategy and planning, and account management.

In his last role as SSI VP of APAC, he managed and mentored a team of Directors whom spearheaded the overall management of respondent acquisitions and engagement through digital marketing, supply chain management of vendors, and strategic partnerships from sourcing to development. KPI-driven, the team ensured that APAC grew and developed into a mature market aligned with projected growth target of sales and corporate.

Angkea’s current and previous client repertoire consists of many well-known brands such as Nielsen, Adidas, P&G, Apple, Microsoft, Nike, Expedia and Weight Watchers. His priority is that client relations are well-maintained to ensure a smoother transaction process. He consistently manages clients’ satisfaction while exceeding our internal goals.

With an “always-on” approach, it brings him joy to creatively solve problems, analyze and breakdown complex scenarios, listen and lead. This is how Angkea conducts his career; with the mindset of “bring him your most difficult challenges and let’s work together to solve them”.

Kay Calpo Lugtu


Kay is a veteran of the information and communications technology sector. Her areas of expertise include data privacy, digital business strategy, and go-to-market strategy. Having started out her sales and business development career in the Philippines in global and regional tech companies such as IBM, NEC, and Singtel, she moved to Singapore where she lived for over seven years in APAC sales roles for IBM, Oracle, and most recently Tata Communications. She has since moved back to be based in Manila where until recently she was working for BPOI, a leading provider of Finance & Accounting and HR Capital Solutions outsourcing services.

She is also the Deputy Director of Global Chamber Manila. She advocates financial planning and literacy among the Filipinos and is passionately committed to “nation building”, food access and sustainability, upcycling, equal access, and education for all.

Kay is a graduate of De La Salle University in Manila and is a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer. She took her executive education in Singapore Management University; and finished courses in MBA from the De La Salle Professional Schools.

Kay is a partner at TheEngage Philippines, based in Manila. Her mandate is to help accelerate revenue growth through successful branding, marketing & external communications for the organization.

Russell Perry


With over 20 years of corporate experience, and the past decade based in the heart of Asia, Russell has a deep and abiding interest in the evolving business landscape. He is a committed advocate of the customer, marketer, growth hack and process expert in equal measure.

Solving problems from first principles was a conceptual framework taught at the UNSW School of Architecture that has informed much of Russell’s approach to new business development, marketing and business leadership roles. Toward this end, Russell’s primary occupation is the point of intersection between a prospective customer and a business seeking to satisfy their needs. He has used that space for creating, discovering and enhancing the experience and believes that, when effectively harnessed, it offers endless opportunity and equal amounts of benefit for customers and vendors alike.

His work has embraced the full strategic and tactical marketing mix, developing and executing multi – market, multi – segment and multi-channel initiatives. In his previous role as regional head of marketing for Emerson, a leading global technology company, Russell was instrumental in building an Asia wide marketing competency for the business. Among his key achievement in this role was developing a sustained program for incremental channel growth. An integrated, multi-language proactive sales program was deployed, which grew year on year across ANZ and SEA resulting in incremental sales of over 20% to the business

Russell is based in Sydney, where he manages TheEngage Australia & New Zealand business interests.

Jackson Lam - 林纪翰

Experience consulting automotive manufacturers and distribution companies on digitalization strategy across disruptive technologies and business models, customer engagement design, as well as connected mobility services and big data analytics. Experience as Head of Key Accounts for the most advanced SaaS-based social -CRM technology company serving automotive ecosystem.

5 years of experience building CRM/ loyalty operations for multiple automotive brands based in Beijing. Personally coached more than 1,000 front line staff on system/ process implementations. Managed the largest and most integrated outsourced automotive contact centers in China with 300+ staff.

Previously before automotive, Jackson had 5 years of marketing planning/ insights experience with clients across telecom, technology, financial, hospitality and corporate services.

Jackson graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Operations Research. He is based in the Hong Kong.
